Onsite Shared Supports in SDA
Shared supports for tenants in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) properties
Your Care, Your Choice
What is Onsite Shared Supports (OSS)?
Supports that are shared between all tenants living in Specialist Disability Accommodation, designed to help with unplanned, urgent, or short-term needs.
When we are considered as the Onsite Shared Supports provider, we go through a selection process with the tenants to ensure we are the right fit. Once chosen, we assign an experienced Support Specialist to meet with tenants for a detailed consultation. This process allows us to understand each tenant’s preferences in a support team so we can recruit the perfect team of 24/7 support workers dedicated to their needs.
Our onsite staff are fully qualified, carefully screened, and trained to follow each tenant’s preferences and individual support plan—ensuring consistency, respect, and a high standard of care.
To keep communication open and services evolving, we hold quarterly tenancy lunches (optional, but who doesn’t love free food?) where tenants and their stakeholders can provide feedback, share ideas, and work with us to continually improve the support we deliver.
Typical personal supports may include:
- Assistance with urgent or unplanned personal care needs
- Immediate help with mobility or transfers
- Support during unexpected changes in daily routine
- Unplanned meal preparation or medication support when required
- Responding to safety, health, or wellbeing concerns in the home
- Coordination with tenants and stakeholders to adjust supports in line with evolving preferences
