What is High Intensity Support?
High intensity supports are specialised supports for participants who have complex support needs requiring a higher level of skill, training and experience from their support team. The NDIA determines which high intensity support categories apply to a participant based on their individual circumstances and NDIS plan.
QSSS holds specialised NDIS registrations to deliver high intensity supports in relevant areas, ensuring we have the appropriate systems, qualified staff and specialised training required to provide these services safely and in accordance with NDIS requirements.
Typical High Intensity Supports May Include:
- Complex bowel care
- Catheter care
- Enteral feeding (PEG feeding)
- Tracheostomy care
- Seizure management
- Ventilator support
- Dysphagia support
- Complex wound support
